De.Ol. certifies its welding processes according to the new UNI EN ISO 9606-1
On 21 November 2014 it was approved the new UNI EN ISO 9601-1: 2013 on the qualification of welders in the field of steel, replacing the UNI EN 287-1: 2012.
The two standards both respond to those which are the "process variables":
-process welding (and how to transfer the filler material)
-dimensions and product type (sheet or tube)
-position, type and details of welding.
The comparative analysis between the two regulations, however, points out important differences such as:
-classification of welder certification as a function of the filler material and not more of the base material
-becomes priority the classification of the filler material
-dimensions of the welding test (the length of the weld bead is reduced from 300 mm to at least 200 mm)
-for the validation of the welder qualification, the test is repeated every three years instead of two.
In a national context of adaptation to the new legislation, many productive companies are at a crossroads: they can wait the expiration of the old certificate before incurring the cost of new, and meanwhile lose any foreign orders (for which the old certification of welders is no longer recognized), or to adapt immediately to the renewal.
The De.Ol. invested on the second road, opening up more and more to the international market of standard hydraulic cylinders and design ones, starting with customers demands.
